Red Lotus maintains a closed herd. We do not offer stud service.

We maintain the right to keep any animal at any time from does that have kidded and any animal for sale.
All animals are sold on "breeders terms" meaning we may ask for stud service back,
first right of refusal, etc... on an individual basis.

At this time we cannot offer delivery/transportation; buyers must pick up their purchase.
Buyers will be responsible for picking up or arranging for transportation for their animals, with ground transportation being the preferred type.
We will gladly bring your kids to any show that we are attending, free of charge. Buyers are welcome to pick up their kid(s) at the farm so that they can see the dam and other relatives first-hand.
All kids will come with a registration applications and transfers for NDGA, ADGA and AGS if applicable.

The buyer is responsible for payment of the following for out of state transportation:

~Health certificate and vet check~
~Cost of any extra blood tests that your state may require~
~Gas fees to PHX Sky Harbor Airport ($50)
~Shipping crate

Please check for what your state requirements are when importing livestock. Additional testing (TB, Brucellosis, etc.) will be at the buyer's expense.

4-H members will receive a $25 discount!
(Must provide proof of active club membership and the club name.)

Contracts are sent or given to every buyer and a signature of agreeance and approval of the sales policy is required.
All persons under the age of 18, we will require a parent or gaurdian to sign the contract and all sales transactions will be through them.

Red Lotus will not hold any animal for sale without a deposit; we no longer hold animals on word alone. We operate on first come, first serve basis.
Either a deposit is ready to secure your choice of available animals, or they remain for sale. For animals ready to go, pick-up must be arranged within 7 days or else a $2.50 per day boarding fee will be charged. This fee must be paid off weekly otherwise the animal will be placed back up for sale.

A $50 non-refundable deposit will secure the reservation of your future breeding choice or for an animal already born. It is recommended that you make a couple of choices if you are reserving unborn kids, since mother nature is fickle and does love to play tricks on us. Your deposit will last 2 years, or by arrangement according to your specific circumstance. Sales are not final until the buyer has paid in full.
Red Lotus reserves the right to retain any reserved animal for any reason at anytime until animal is paid in full.  If this is done, only then will payments will be refunded.
All animals must be paid for in full before leaving.
Deposits are not refunded on cancelled sales due to whatever circumstance from either party, as that money goes toward day to day feed and maintenance of the herd.

Red Lotus sell animals that are healthy and sound at the time of transfer. We cannot guarantee that they will mature as you or we would expect. We cannot guarantee their mature conformation, stature, udder attachment, show ability, quality of their offspring, etc. We can only make educated guesses. There are many factors involved in the development of an animal including life-long management (feeding, health care maintenance, parasite control, housing, breeding, stress, etc). We cannot take responsibility for how a kid you purchase from us ultimately matures.

We do not guarantee that a purchaser will like an animal they purchase from us; we are not under obligation to take any animal back once it has left the property.

We will do our best to realistically represent the animal with photos and descriptions for long-distance buyers. All sales are final.

Goat breeding is partly a hit-or-miss thing, thus there are no guarantees as to how any particular animal will mature. First fresheners may show beautiful udders, but only time will tell if they stay that way. Some does take many years to mature! We are selling genetic potential. The animals we sell represent more than the animal you purchase; that goat represents the combination of genes from our herd which you are choosing to add to your herd. There is no telling how these genes will blend with yours. Occasionally we sell mature animals, bucks or does, after they have produced offspring. Obviously this is the more risk-free purchase…but still, there is no way to predict how these genes will blend with their chosen mates. Every breeding is a gamble. Sometimes genes from two outstanding lines do not blend favorably -- This is a chance you take. More often than not, first fresheners are offered for sale if daughters are produced, and retained, in order to maintain a small herd number.

No one, including us, can guarantee the mammary systems on young doe kids. To know for sure what a mammary system looks like we recommend purchasing a milker if available.

If we sell breeding stock that proves to be infertile (backed up with a Vet or AI collector’s detailed report for verification) we may feel an obligation to replace it with our choice of something comparable, depending on availability. We will require the infertile animal’s certificate of registration to be turned over to us for the replacement.

A purchaser has the right to a full veterinary examination at his/her expense on any animals to be purchased. We are not responsible for the health of any animal purchased from us from the time it leaves the farm, under most circumstances. Should we be presented with a Vet’s official statement that the animal in question had a congenital, or another underlying condition prior to transfer, we will do what we can to reach a satisfactory outcome for all parties. Red Lotus will not claim responsibility for illness, damage or death as a result of shipping. Accidents happen.

If you would like to reserve an unborn kid, we expect a non-refundable deposit of $50 to hold your place on our list.
A 'waiting list' is available on does to be bred later on down the line and does not require a fee; when the doe has been bred, deposits will be expected upon notification.
Upon notification of availability of any animal reserved from us, immediate payment of $50 must be sent to hold the animal. We will only hold an animal for 21 days without payment in full. After that time, without further payments, or exception, the animal will be offered for sale to others and you will forfeit your payments. If the animal is not transferred at the agreed upon time, a boarding fee of $2.50 per day may be applied. An animal must be paid in full to leave our property. All expenses (including board, vet and shipping) must be paid before an animal is shipped.

Red Lotus will bottle-raise kids upon request and for a fee, otherwise kids are dam-raised.
The work load goes up by bottle-raising kids, therefore we ship or require that bottle babies be picked up at 4 weeks of age to be finished on the bottle by their new owners. Buyers wanting a bottle-baby will have to prove they have the right source of nutrition for that kid, either in the form of raw or pasteurized goat milk (not store bought), or a very good replacer formula available through many
livestock supply stores (Land O' Lakes is recommended).
Bottle-babies will be kept with their dam for the first 2 weeks before being switched to a bottle.
All kids here will be raised, either by bottle or dam, on raw milk from their dam.

Kids are handled as soon as possible after birth and from then on as time permits in order to try and ensure a socialized kid. We try to be there for every birth.

Since we can not control any stress that may occur as a result of shipping, or the animal's environment or management once it leaves our property, we cannot offer guarantees on how that kid will transport, thus we are not responsible for the animal the moment it leaves our property.

All kids are disbudded between the ages of 4-8 days of age. All kids past 2 weeks of age will have their first booster of CD/T - Sometimes the site of the shot will leave a little bump. This will disappear with time.
Unless otherwise specified all animals have not been tattooed.

Does here can be bred to any of our bucks, if old enough, for an additional $50 fee before leaving our property.
If the doe is not paid for in full at the time of the breeding, the resulting kids will carry the Red Lotus herd name.

If a doe is posted as being "exposed" to a buck we do not guarantee that animal is bred. "Exposed" means that animal has been in with a buck for a period of time.
If an animal is posted as being "bred", that means we have either not seen that doe come back into heat for a period of time, or had a blood test to assure pregnancy.
There will be no refund of money under any circumstance for a doe that aborts or does not have live viable kids.

If you have any questions about the above policies please ask before committing to purchase.
Buyers will either be sent or asked to print out a contract of our sales policy plus info of the animal for sale, sign it, and send it to us.
The buyer will receive a copy for their own documentation.
